Troubleshooting technical issues is much easier when both the user and support agent practice clear communication. For this reason, we have provided the template below for you to fill out with information about your issue. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can most efficiently resolve your problem.
Description of the issue:
I can still find the app in settings > apps directory, and it opens fine, but that’s the only way I have of reaching it right now. Uninstall and reinstall doesn’t fix it.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- I’m not sure how to not reproduce it. The problem is the default right now.
Expected result:
The Brave app icon should appear in the app drawer and allow dragging/duplicating to the main/home screen.
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
Brave = 1.78.102, Chromium = 136.0.7103.113
Mobile Device details
Samsung S21 Ultra: OneUI = 7.0: Android = 15
Additional Information:
I don’t know what else to give here. I’ll look up whatever you need. Thanks.
@NKFAeilts,
That’s pretty strange. I just double checked to see if it appears in mine (Galaxy S22+) and it does.
To confirm, you’re saying that on your Samsung Galaxy, if you swipe up on the home screen to view “all installed apps”, Brave does not appear here?
Out of curiosity, can you try downloading the Brave Beta app from the Play Store and check to see if that appears in the app drawer as expected?
You described it correctly. Swipe up → no icon shows up. Search “Brave” in that “all installed apps” screen, no results. Go to settings → apps, shows up there fine and opens without a problem. I tried Beta, and it does indeed show up (everywhere it should) without a problem.
Okay…yeah, very strange. I can’t see any reason why it would not appear in the drawer with all the other apps – especially if the Beta app shows up without issue. I wonder if you somehow hid the app on accident?
Can you try opening the app drawer, tapping the overflow icon (three dots icon, either on top-right or bottom right of the app drawer screen) then tapping Settings
(you can also get here from the Android System settings page), then find the Hide apps on Home and Apps screen
option and ensure that Brave is not selected there?
Weird! That was it. I didn’t even know hidden apps was a thing. Or how I somehow hid the Brave app. Thank you so much!

Definitely weird but glad it was an easy solution and not a bug in the browser!
Have a great day!
