I can't open .onion sites please help!

So I downloaded Brave so I could access .onion sites. I open the private window with tor and try to open a .onion site, but it just gives me “this site can’t be reached”. What should I do? I’m on a laptop with Windows 10, fully updated if that helps.

Did the issue present with default Shields settings? (yes/no) No
