How to remove Uphold and start receiving BAT in the Brave Wallet on Android

Briefly describe your issue: Id like to disconnect from Uphold completely because ive never liked it. Id like to start receiving BAT rewards in my browsers own wallet. Theres no option to “unverify” or “disconnect” in my rewards panel. Region is British Columbia, Canada

What Operating System and Brave version are you using (Menu --> About Brave)? Brave 1.50.114, Chromium 112.0.5615.49 and Android 10; Build/HUAWEIEML-L09

Is your Brave Rewards Profile currently verified? (yes/no) Yes

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past? Yes

you can’t. a custodian is required by law.
if you disconnect you will no longer receive bat.

Rewards won’t ever be paid in Non - custodial wallets cause of rules & regulations.
You’ll have to use Uphold / Gemini to collect rewards for now.

Ok thats fine, I dont mind having a custodian, but is Uphold really our only choice? Their app is bare, plain, and annoying. Their fees are ridiculous, and theres just many other, much better platforms out there. Also being Canadian limits what I can do on Uphold even more… Ive read that Android users cannot use Gemini, but they were old posts. Is that still true? It would be nice if we had the choice of custodian thats in the same region as well. Anyways thanks for your reply mate :vulcan_salute:

uphold is the only one available in canada currently. gemini only works for the US and bitflyer is for Japan.
