How to install Brave without TOR and VPN or to permanently remove TOR and VPN components?

Hi all,

I would like to use Brave on my Windows Business Laptop. Me and some colleagues installed Brave earlier (we have Admin rights) but our chief information security officer told us to uninstall it, because of the build in Tor and VPN componentes. Our security noticed it, while one of my colleagues “accidentally” clicked on the Tor button.

Our CISO told as that we can request it at as a default package at our software management department including propper GPOs so that its not possible to use Tor or VPN.

Me: Can we have Brave please?
Software Management department: We have Brave at home…
“Brave”: Firefox, Edge, Chrome.

They are not interested to maintain one more browser in this case.

So, we are generally allowed to install software on our personal laptop, but our CISO said that software components that can build a potential tunnel is definitely not allowed.

I found some older topics in this community with a guide of how to remove Tor components in some specific folders, but these folders do not exist anymore when using latest versions of Brave. So the chance is, that even if I can manage to remove the current Tor and VPN files from hard disk from the current version, that these files are back again after a future update.

Is there a reliable or stable way to install Brave without these components? Or is there a stable way to manually remove these components from harddisk and make sure that these are not back after a future update?

Thanks.
