How to ensure web requests are only sent if VPN is active?

Is there a way to stop the browser from making requests altogether if the built in VPN is not connected?

There are some websites I need to consistently appear to as only visiting from a certain country. I cannot risk my VPN subscription payment failing, or the VPN provider having connection issues and begin my browsing while the VPN is disconnected.

Is it possible to disable browsing if the VPN is not connected? I don’t see a setting in the VPN settings on Brave, or the Brave settings.

I don’t know how to test if this is built-in when the VPN toggle is turned on, either. Perhaps it’s a feature that already exists?
