I want to get notifications (email ideally) of new blog posts from Brave as I want to follow their privacy and browser updates/articles. I can’t see a way and I don’t know how to use RSS, is there a subscribe option?
Hello @NoMoreFirefox, thank you for your interest in being part of our community! You can subscribe to our Brave Blog by going to https://brave.com/blog/ and selecting the option that says "RSS"
I hope it resolves your question. Kind regards.
Thanks, but I have done that and after clicking “RSS” I just get a page full of code entitled:
“This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.”
You need to have a RSS reader to be able to parse the XML information.
Most email clients do it.
Not sure what that even means. I clicked, and got a page of code. what do I do now?
You can start in here
You can search for RSS extensions
Or independent RSS readers
Yes I could spend my afternoon learning about a technology I know nothing about, or I could just forget about it until Brave sets up what 99% of sites have (Enter email, hit subscribe!). I will go for the latter, all things considered! Thanks anyway
You could enable Brave Blog in Brave News. It won’t notify you when a new article is added but the new article will pop up in the news feed.
I agree about the RSS link on the Brave Blog page. Not helpful at all. And I agree there should be an option to subscribe. Got my vote!
NTP → Customize → Brave News → Sources and enable Brave Blog
