I use Brave on my Windows 11 business laptop for my personal browsing. For my business accounts (there are multiple), I use Chrome. As this laptop is primarily for business, I use Chrome as my default. When I click email links, or whatever it may be, Chrome must be the browser to open. But I still get a good deal of use doing non-business activities, and for that I use Brave. My annoyance is that it keeps asking me to set it as a default. I searched Google and Brave for ways to make it stop, with no real answer other than setting it as default. That obviously isn’t a possible solution here. So I searched how to fool (trick) Brave into thinking it is the default browser so that it stops asking. Brave AI returned something about an extension that I could not find, and a way to manipulate the Windows Registry. I don’t want to edit the registry on this laptop, so I just need to know is there a flag I can set or a known extension that will make Brave think its the default browser so it stops asking?
