Description of the issue:
Starting today, whenever I am using Google search in Brave, at random when loading a page or refreshing it will go into white theme. On my Brave settings I have it set to dark, on Google Search I have it set to dark. Yet after opening a tab or two, one of them will always open in white theme and I need to refresh it once or twice to get it back to dark.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Opening a new tab (I have Google.com set as my homepage and new tab)
Expected result:
For it to always be in the dark theme
Brave Version( check About Brave):
[
1.66.115
Additional Information:
I have tried enabling force dark in Brave’s flags but that still does not fix the issue, with that enabled it instead switches from the dark theme so a different darker theme instead.
It also resets “Results region” to “Current Region”. Infuriating. Should have figured it’s Brave’s fault and not wasted half an hour trying to fix this.
ah thank you so much I believe this worked. I had already messed with all of the flags I could and reinstalled and was about so search for absolutely everything Brave related and delete it before reinstalling again cause I was at a loss.
I have the same issue.
If you keep F5 “google.com”, it will keeping alternating between white and black, as well as alternating between different languages. Very annoying.
I’m having the same issue with the theme, and also the language:
1- type into brave search bar and hit enter
2- Brave opens Google in Arabic language with white theme
3- refresh the page
4- brave loads Google in English with dark theme (correct behavior)
