Hi All, for the last couple of weeks I’ve been having trouble using google maps, and particularly streetview, through Brave - a right pain as it’s essential for my work.
Anyone got any ideas? No issues in Chrome.

Hello @Notters, thank you for bringing this to our attention. What kind of device and OS do you use? Have you updated to the latest version? Have you tried deleting cookies and cache recently? Could you please describe the issues you are experiencing or if possible share a screenshot. Thanks in advance.

I’ve had this same issue for well over a year, it’s seemingly been an issue with Brave since 2020 and it’s seeming unlikely that it will ever be fixed. Whether it be in a normal window or private window, any street view images are SO slow to load, often leaving big sections of blurred image that wont load in, and then operates at a low refresh rate. Occasionally images don’t load in at ALL and it just displays a black window.
I’ve been through several reformats since I started using Brave, tried multiple old suggestions but nothing has ever resolved the issue.

Usually the first image, after clicking on the blue line, is blurred, but often if you move a step down the road, the next image is clear.
But it was working fine for me until recent weeks.
Not sure providing a screenshot as requested is really going to help - the images are just not downloading fully, or quickly… and I have a 500MB/s connection… and it’s all good on Chrome.
@Jarc-1107 I have tried deleting cookies, but (though it did seem to work for 30 seconds) this doesn’t seem to have helped.
Same, brave sucks if you want to use google or bing maps, might as well use FF with ublock now that chome has prevented adblocking.
Can back this if you go into another browser like Edge which also has Chromium the performance of Google maps and streetview is so much better. Issue for at least a couple of weeks now.
Same problem started in the last couple of weeks- google maps satellite view loads very slowly, street view even slower. Dropping the little person icon for street view sometimes doesn’t work at all. Cleared cache, cookies, shields down, hardware acceleration on/off - nothing made a difference. I’m seeing lots of posts about this problem but no solutions. I also use google maps for work and now I have to switch to a different browser just for that because maps is unusable in Brave.
Glad I’m not the only one. I also have been noticing this problem for a couple of weeks and haven’t made any changes to Brave settings that I am aware of on my end. I thought it was a Google issue and just lived with it, but online enquiries came up blank for recent problems with Google Maps and then searches for the problem with Brave brought me here. I just checked Google Maps with FF and it loaded almost instantly but is still very, very slow to load the map in Brave.
