Gmail fails to load email - requires complete page refresh

Description of the issue:
Gmail: Click on email to read it and nothing happens.
Refresh the page completely and the email that was clicked is displayed. ( requires complete refresh to read any emails at that point ).

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
It is random but happens often. Steps are easy, try and read an email.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Nothing happens - page is still active appears to be responsive but no emails will open for viewing.

Expected result:
emails should open for viewing.

Reproduces how often:
enough that I have switched browsers until this is resolved.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Windows 10 pro Version 10.0.19044 Build 19044
Brave Version 1.45.118 Chromium: 107.0.5304.91 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
I can find multiple issues that are the same or similar but they are all closed, probably because it was never addressed. The only suggestion I have seen was to create a new profile but I did that and the very first email failed to open on the new profile.

Hello there @garneke, can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue? You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration

Also, try opening your main profile in private mode to see if the email loads, if they do load, try disabling your extensions to see if this is the cause of the issue.

You can open a Guest Window by going to Main menu --> Open Guest window:

  1. On your computer, open Brave.
  2. At the top right, click Menu → More tools → Extensions.
  3. On to the extension you want to remove, click Remove.
  4. Confirm by clicking Remove.
