I’m French, I use a PC with Windows 10, obviously my browser is Brave
My question is about Brave shields and especially on the meaning and use of one of the filters : Bypass Paywalls Clean Filters, what is its function and purpose ?
@Biskana that filter is supposed to be able to help bypass paywalls. A paywall, if you’re not familiar, is like when a newspaper shows you part of an article but then tells you that must subscribe with them in order to view the rest of it.
To my knowledge, that list pretty much doesn’t work well anymore. This is particularly because from what I can find, companies legally went after the maintainers and it was shut down, such as can see in the screenshot below:
But I’m not sure if @fanboynz may know more about the overall status of this filter. And if it has been stopped, wondering if we should remove it from the list?

That’s a really clear and precise answer, I sincerely thank you for that, I couldn’t have hoped for better.
I’m going to uncheck this filter since you say it’s no longer useful.
I think it would be a good thing in relation to what you’re saying.
