Help! Issue with Brave Browser and Web Filtering Software

Hey everyone,

I’m new to all this tech stuff, so I hope I’m posting in the right place. I’ve been using the Brave Browser for a few weeks now and I really like how fast it is and the privacy features it offers. But I’ve run into a bit of a problem and I’m not sure what to do.

So, I also have this web filtering software installed on my computer to keep an eye on what my kids are doing online. It’s been working fine with other browsers, but for some reason, it’s not playing nice with Brave. The filtering software doesn’t seem to be blocking websites or showing any activity when I check the logs.

I’ve looked around in the settings of both the Brave Browser and the filtering software, but I’m not sure if I’m missing something or if there’s some compatibility issue. Maybe there’s some special setting I need to change in Brave to make it work with the filtering software? Or is there something I need to do in the filtering software to make it recognize Brave?

If anyone has experience with this kind of thing or has any suggestions, I’d really appreciate the help. Like I said, I’m not very tech-savvy, so if you could explain things in simple terms, I’d be super grateful!

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide!

Hi @judywatson

I happened to see your post tonight and wanted to suggest that you look into https://cleanbrowsing.org/

Their solutions are very effective for filtering content and they have lots of helpful guides about setup.

I suppose it depends upon what you are trying to accomplish. But I wanted to share in case it helps you protect your children from garbage online.
