Is there any way to force close a tab without having this confirmation dialog?
I already checked the “prevent this page…” box but it insists.
This should only happen when the page/site thinks you’ve entered data without them having been saved.
Is this a custom site or something publicly accessible?
Note that extensions could get in the middle of this as well, so if you are using any, maybe try it with them all disabled and see whether the behavior’s the same.
It is tradingview.com, logged in or not.

OK. I see what you’re saying. But it’s happening because the site ‘thinks’ that you have made a change you might want to keep, and then are attempting to navigate away with ‘unsaved data.’ The same issue apparently occurs with Firefox, and I’d be surprised if it isn’t also true with Chrome. It doesn’t look to me like a Brave-specific problem.
Not sure what else to say, it’s the way that site works, for better or for worse. You might try inquiring as to whether the site itself is buggy, or if they can offer some kind of ‘autosave’ so you don’t have to do it manually. (Or maybe it offers this if you’re logged in? I haven’t tried that.)
