Followed all troubleshooting. Ad's still not appearing on my laptop (but they appear on my desktop)

So I followed all the troubleshooting guides. Rewards is on and set to 5 ads an hour. Focus assistant is off. Brave has full notification allowance and settings, the whole works. My region is the United States. Does anyone else have this issue?? Any support is welcome.

Hi welcome to the Brave community @jtgorospe90

Make sure your browser up to date (For now - Brave Version 1.8.96)

First check - settings - Notifications & actions - make sure - Brave - Turn ON

Disable Focus Assist (off)

Open Brave browser - Go to Menu - Brave Rewards (chrome://rewards/) - Turn off Ads - Turn off Brave Rewards - close the browser - wait one minute (Don’t touch mouse and keyboard)

After that - open Brave Browser - again wait one minute (Don’t touch mouse and keyboard)

Then - Go to Menu - Brave Rewards (chrome://rewards/) - Turn on Brave Rewards - Turn on Ads - wait one minute (Don’t touch mouse and keyboard)

Browse now as usual

I have done all of this already. I quite extensively browsed the forum for all solutions before posting.

@jtgorospe90
create new profile

Do you mean a new wallet? Wouldn’t I lose any BAT that I accrued on my desktop since it and the laptop are linked? I don’t want to lose anything. Just trying to figure out why it works flawlessly on my desktop but not on my laptop.

@jtgorospe90

1. Are you using any firewall or vpn software? (external or extensions)

2. Have you tried the bennish tool before? (https://www.bennish.net/web-notifications.html)

Just windows firewall. I have a VPN but it is off. Yes. I have used the tool. I confirmed I can get pop up notifications just don’t get any ads

@jtgorospe90
just for confirmation
in brave browser
just create new profile (you don’t need to connect wallet)
turn on brave reward
See if the ad is appear or not

I will give it a try

Been 5 hours in with settings to 5 ads per hour. My desktop has popped 24 ads so far and my laptop has done absolutely nothing even with a new profile. I confirmed I can get notifications with bennish.net.

Something is off here

@jtgorospe90
in windows settings (Date & time - time zone)
check if the time zone set properly

Remove all extensions from the brave browser (brave://extensions/) and VPN from your laptop
Restart your laptop
Clean temp files - Use ccleaner (custom clean - run cleaner)
Clean registry - (registry - scan for issues - fix selected issues - yes - save - fix all selected issues)
Restart your laptop again

Repeat the following procedure

Open Brave browser - Go to Menu - Brave Rewards (brave://rewards/) - Turn off Ads - Turn off Brave Rewards - close the browser - wait one minute (Don’t touch mouse and keyboard)

After that - open Brave Browser - again wait one minute (Don’t touch mouse and keyboard)

Then - Go to Menu - Brave Rewards (brave://rewards/) - Turn on Brave Rewards - Turn on Ads - wait one minute (Don’t touch mouse and keyboard)

Browse now as usual

Will do! I will give it a shot

Still nothing that fixed it :frowning:

@jtgorospe90
Do you have any BAT in your laptop (Brave browser)?

Windows 10 - Latest Version

@jtgorospe90
Reinstall brave browser

Use ccleaner
Uninstall - (tools - brave - uninstall (upper right corner))
Restart laptop
Open ccleaner
Clean registry - (registry - scan for issues - fix selected issues - yes - save - fix all selected issues)
then install latest version of brave browser (don’t install any extensions)
Enable Brave Rewards - Browse now as usual

(The number of ads you see depends on the availability of the ads campaign in your country and match found between your interest.)

I just uninstalled brave all together. To be honest the last option available is a complete reinstall of windows seeing how we exhausted all options (and we have apparently began to repeat things). It’s not worth the effort.
