I usually use Linux and only occasionally Windows, so I am honestly not sure if this was an issue for longer, but lately I’ve had to use Windows a lot and encountered it after every new boot into Windows.
Description of the issue:
The first start of Brave after a Windows Boot always crashes for me. It pops up with my last open tabs for a second and immediately crashes and the process isnt running anymore. If I now launch Brave again it opens up and runs stable for hours without crashing at all, it is just that after the first crash the open tabs disappear and I have a new browser window at the start of Brave after that initial crash. Any closing / starting of the browser after that work without any problems.
The first start that keeps crashing doesn’t have to be immediately after the Windows 10 Boot, it can be hours after and it also crashes.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
- Boot into Windows 10
- Login
- do whatever
- Start Brave
- crash

Browser crashes after starting (for the first time) and loses the opened tabs for the next program start.
Expected result:
Browser opens without crashing
Reproduces how often:
For the last 3 days after every new Windows boot. ( But again, I rarely use Windows so can’t really say if that was a problem for longer time. )
