Faulty spam detection prevents bug visibility

Hi there,

I wanted to bring to your attention an issue I’ve encountered that I believe may affect other users as well.

A few days ago, I attempted to post a detailed report about a geolocation bug I’ve been experiencing on macOS. Unfortunately, my post was immediately flagged as spam by Akismet and has remained invisible since then. This has been quite discouraging, as I believe sharing such issues is crucial for the ongoing improvement of the Brave browser.

While I understand and appreciate the need to prevent spam and maintain the quality of community discussions, I feel that the current spam filtering system may be a bit overzealous. Legitimate posts, especially those containing technical details or specific terminology, might inadvertently trigger the filters.

This hinders users from reporting genuine issues and prevents the development team from becoming aware of potential bugs that need attention. Open communication is essential for identifying and resolving problems effectively.

I kindly request that the team review the spam filtering settings to strike a better balance between blocking actual spam and allowing valid contributions from community members. Perhaps implementing a manual review process for flagged posts could help ensure that legitimate content isn’t being suppressed.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I’m eager to continue supporting and contributing to the Brave community, and I believe that addressing this issue will enhance our collective efforts.

Does anybody have any idea when my original post about a technical issue would be “unspammed”? It’s been waiting for moderation for nearly a month.
