Failed installation



Description of the issue:

Followed web-site installation instructions to install Brave onto my Windows 7 32-bit (Clean install) Dell Inspiron laptop. Had a window informing me that installation was complete but all I can get is a blank window as per the attached screenshots.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

Went through installation process twice and rebooted Windows - to same effect.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Blank window as per attached screenshots.

Expected result:
A working browser?

Reproduces how often:
Downloaded and ran BraveBrowserSetup v twice. Download proceeded and window reported ‘installation complete’ in both occasions. Process manager reports Brave running.

Brave Version(about:brave):
Latest, presumably

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):

Additional Information:
Have Brave running quite happily on another machine under LinuxMint 19.1


Sorry, couldn’t see any way of attaching screenshots to to the mail. If someone will tell me how it’s done I’ll submit them.

Ps. As this is a clean installation of Windows 7 I might be missing Java or Flash or something needed - but if that’s so I don’t know what, and Brave hasn’t told me.
