Description of the issue:
Every Time Brave Updates, It Turns Into Chrome

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Install chrome on Mac
2. Continue using Chrome until there is an update.

Expected result:
Opening web pages continues to work, Brave updates itself and continues to have the Brave icon and application name.

Actual Result
Brave automatically pulls an update. Loading web pages no longer works. The icon in the Applications folder says Brave Browser and has a Google Chrome icon. After quitting the browser and opening it again, the application that loads is Chrome in name, icon and look/feel. Chrome has replaced Brave.

Version 1.37.114 Chromium: 100.0.4896.88 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Additional Information:
Recently, to troubleshoot this, I searched and deleted everything in my Applications and Library folders to do with both Chrome and Brave, then downloaded a fresh installer for Brave and installed it from scratch. This did not resolve the issue. Today, loading web pages stopped working, so I quit the app, and reloaded it and Chrome had once again replaced Brave.

This happened to me twice today and is getting REALLY annoying. Here are a couple of captures for rreference.

It’s really hard to search for info on this because Googling for “brave updates to chrome” brings up a litany of unrelated info about switching from Chrome to Brave.

Help would be appreciated. I don’t really have time to constantly download and reinstall Brave.
