Error while downloading : can't download anything since first installation (Windows 11 Family/Parallels Desktop)

Description of the issue:
I installed Brave a few days ago and since then it is impossible to download anything, without any extension installed, even in private mode and even a simple image on Internet.
The directory I try to download has no restriction: I can download the same file, in the same directory, with Chrom browser.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open any website with downloadable images
  2. RIght-click any image
  3. Open it in a new tab
  4. Download it anywhere on your PC
  5. Check the Download menu in the Brave menu bar
  6. File download has failed with the following message: “A problem occured”

Expected result:
File download is progessing or done

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.50.121 Chromium: 112.0.5615.138 (Build officiel) (64 bits)

I use Windows 11 Family OS with Parallels Desktop on a Macbook Air Pro M1 Max

I think you’re saying you’re ultimately running this on a mac, correct?

If so, then it feels to me like something in macOS (either Parallels itself, or some permissions or other security control) is intercepting and blocking this. Ultimately the ‘write’ operation is going to go thru macOS so there’s plenty of opportunity for it to do so.

Does Parallels offer any kind of logging or debugging that might tell us anything?
