"ERR_NETWORK_CHANGED" on VPN connection

Hello,

when i established an VPN connection on my phone, i get the error “ERR_NETWORK_CHANGED” briefly in chrome when opening bookmarks or when opening a link from an app (my devices: Samsung Galaxy S10/Huawei P30 Pro, Brave 1.5.4)

The error is displayed 1 or 2 seconds, then the website opens. The message always appears as soon as the device is connected to a VPN (no matter to which VPN server).

Any ideas?

I’ve had the same problem for a while now. I’ve spoken to developers, network specialist’s, forum groups, and noone can answer why this is happening!! Plz keep me informed if you have better luck then I.

the problem seems to affect all browsers based on Chromium (Brave, Vivaldi, Edge, …). I opened a Chromium bug report and i would be happy if you support that: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1035416#c1
