Entire browser crashes upon clicking on textboxes

Description of the issue:
Brave will crash upon trying to use some textboxes

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):
1. Launch Brave
2. Restore previous session (optional)
3. When on new tab, click on the omnibox (Search bar) or try to type without clicking it.

Actual Result:
Brave becomes completely unresponsive/freezes.

Expected Result:
Be able to type an URL or search

Reproduces how often:
Almost always

Brave Version
Version 1.73.89 Chromium: 131.0.6778.69 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):
Yes

Additional information:
I’m using Debian GNU/Linux 12 (Bookworm)
or by uname -a:
Linux 6.1.0-27-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.115-1 (2024-11-01) x86_64 GNU/Linux
and GNOME Shell
It also happened while trying to write this on the same browser so I had to switch temporarily.

Brave Browser crash reports (if generated):

brave://settings/?search=crash+reports

There, some Crash IDs, to provide here, for Brave Support.

Open Brave Browser (Linux/Mac) using command line:

open -a “Brave Browser.app” -n --disable-gpu --enable-leak-detection --crash-on-failure --incognito

One of the following, may also work from the command line:

brave -n --args --disable-gpu --enable-leak-detection --crash-on-failure --incognito

brave-browser -n --args --disable-gpu --enable-leak-detection --crash-on-failure --incognito

The idea, here, is to somehow get Brave Browser running, from the command line, under less burden.

Are these only generated per session? Cause today I launched brave as I usually do after a couple of days and it worked seemingly just fine: I could use the onmnibar to input this and it didn’t freeze, though I got nothing in the results.

Is there any other place I could search for logs that would help Brave Support? I am pretty sure it’s going to happen again

@eddymexico sorry, it seems some information got mixed up. Please see info on how to get crash reports via Desktop and Android Crash Reports

I’d also like to suggest you also kind of check out the basic Troubleshooting Steps. Things like checking in private window would help narrow down where your issue might be occurring.

Thank you. I already did what’s suggested for a crash report.
As of today, I hasn’t happened for several days but it’s a weirdly specific problem so I will try the troubleshooting steps next time it occurs. For now, I will keep using Brave as usual.
