Description of the issue:
When Brave is using default X11 display server, the emoji hotkey works and allows you to bring up the picker by pressing “Super(Win)+.” or “Super+;”. After setting Preferred Ozone Platform in brave://flags to Wayland or Auto, the emoji picker hot-key no longer works. If you switch back to Auto or X11 it will not longer work. It is permanently broken.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Go to brave://flags
- Set “Preferred Ozone platform” to Wayland or Auto if you are using Wayland
- Press Super+. or Super+; (in Fedora)
Expected result:
An underlined e will appear and you can either type name of emoji or press space to bring up picker:
