Drag and drop files (e.g. pics) from browser to dekstop / MacOS

Drag-and-drop feature to pull pictures from internet to drop them to be saved on the desktop, does not work. At all. Right-click "Save picture as…"works.

Choose a picture – any photo, logo, other visual – on any website, drag it and release it outside the browser window onto the desktop. For example – choose the Brave logo here on the community site and try to release it onto the desktop.

Simply nothing happens.

Expected result is a saved file available on laptop desktop.

Problem reproduces every time.

Brave version: 0.62.51 | MacOS Mojave 10.14.5 Beta (18F96h)

The issue is prevalent from previous builds (both Brave and MacOS)

Thanks for reporting @ptrsns,

I’m not able to reproduce this issue on Windows. It seems it’s specific to macOS. cc @Mattches @sriram for additional test.

@ptrsns,
This seems to work just fine on my end – tested using macOS Mojave 10.14.4 on all Brave builds:

Can you test again by [attempting to] dragging the image below onto the desktop? If you could share a short recording of the test that would be helpful as well.

Hi – I realized the problem exists only when Brave app is full-screen and and in order to perform the drop, you have to use the desktop hot corner (System Preferences->Mission Control-Hot corners->Desktop (from drop-down menu))
