Download file for MacOS corrupted

Description of the issue:
Each time I download the Brave browser image for MacOS (via firefox) I earn the same error report, i.e., that the image is corrupted. The file downloads as Brave-Browser.dmg, but returns the error message. I have included a shot of the screen where the error comes up, below in the appropriate line.
I tried restarting the firefox browser and downloading Brave 3x, get 3x same error.
I am running 10.13.6 on a machine made in 2011, and used the latest firefox build: 115.21.0esr (64 bit)
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Open firefox (build 115.21.0esr (64 bit) with MacOS 10.13.6, go to Brave website and choose the download for MacOS, which should start the automatic download and install.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Expected result:
Opening and starting a new experience with Brave Browser and Brave Search.
Reproduces how often:
Every time.
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
My apologies, but I cannot find the ‘About Brave’ page, so I do not know the Brave build. It download as Brave-Browser.dmg. I am running MacOS 10.13.6.

Additional Information:
I wish to try Brave, so appreciate any assistance. Please, if it’s something I’m not doing correctly, let me know. I won’t take it personal, I’m old and not so tech savvy.

For older Mac computers and MacOS - compatible Brave Browser installers:

Thank you, I will give that a try!

I’m giving an update at a later date than I anticipated, but today I went to github to download v1.69.168. First download was the brave-browser-X64.dmg, tried to open it and got the same error message as before, i.e., ‘corrupted file’. Downloaded the .pkg version, and it installed just fine. Thank you for the assist!
Also, maybe someone might want to check the .dmg file?
