Does the brave browser has two types of incognito modes? (with and without using TOR?)

Hello

unfortunately, the description text of the TOR function:
What is a Private Window with Tor Connectivity?

is not precise: the chosen wording could mean that the brave browser has two ways to open an incognito window:

  1. A private Window, without TOR
  2. A private Window, with TOR

Hence the question:
Does the user always have to explicitly choose whether he wants a private window with Tor?

Or is Tor used automatically as soon as the user opens a private window?

Thanks a lot, kind regards,
Thomas

If you enable Private window with Tor via brave://settings/extensions, you’ll get the option to use private windows with Tor, otherwise only the regular private window option will be available for you.

Private window with Tor and regular private window are two different kind of private windows. It’s up to users to choose which kind of private windows they would like to use by using the respective option when opening private windows.

Thank you very much!, it’s good to know that Private window with Tor and Regular private Window are two different kind of private windows.
And it’s great to have them separated
