Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Installation stops with error message (translated from Swedish)
    The installation failed.
    The installer encountered an error that prevented installation. Contact the software manufacturer and ask for assistance.
  2. No error code displayed.
  3. Have tried with antivirus off, same result.
  4. Have deleted all remnants from a previous Brave-installation, performed on a different computer, transferred through TimeMachine.
