Description of the issue:
I have disabled Upgrade connections to HTTPS in Brave, but that appears to be ignored. I run a number of local web apps that do not have SSL enabled, and aren’t exposed through my firewall, and don’t need it. I cannot reach because Brave keeps flipping the connection over to https even though I have disabled that behavior.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open Brave Shields and disable ‘Upgrade connections to HTTPS’
- Navigate to a site that still supports normal http traffic (non-ssl). This may be hard to do considering almost all sites force https now. You may need to setup a simple web application locally to get a http connection. I’ve been unable to find a production facing website that still supports plain old http (it’s a good thing really)
Expected result:
The expected result is the connection remains http, and is not switched to https.

Based on past post history, this seems to regress every so often. The most recent occurrence of this regression and subsequent fix was: Disabling "Upgrade connections to HTTPS" is not working
