Copy-paste from save-file dialog freezes brave

Note: I am unable to add bug tag to this post

Copying some text from file-manager pop-up window that appears for example when saving a file (“Save as…” context menu option) and subsequently pasting it back to brave freezes all brave browser tabs, even separate windows.
Process “/usr/lib/brave-bin/brave” utilization is 100% during this freeze.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. open google
  2. Press Ctrl+S
  3. Copy arbitrary text to clipboard from the file-manager pop-up window, for example the file-name
  4. Close the pop-up (Esc)
  5. Paste (Ctrl+V) copied text to Google SearchBar

Expected result:
All Brave windows freeze for ~twenty seconds.
When I copy some other text to the clipboard during this interval, this other text is the one pasted to the google search box, the old one is somehow overwritten in the clipboard.

Brave Version:
Version 1.23.75 Chromium: 90.0.4430.93 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Version 1.24.82 Chromium: 90.0.4430.93 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
All extensions were switched off.
Works on all websites, not only google.
Works even across normal and private brave windows (freezes both of them), though the cursor in one keeps blinking, so the javascript thread is still running.
I tried to locate the process of the file-manager pop-up, but I wasn’t able to.
But it looked Ubuntu-like. Something like GTK file chooser dialog

System details:
$ uname -a
Linux terminator 5.11.13-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat, 10 Apr 2021 20:47:14 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I don’t know which other software might be relevant, maybe it has something to do with graphical interface and my window manager.

i3-wm 4.19.2-1
lightdm 1:1.30.0-4
lightdm-mini-greeter 0.5.1-1
xorg-server 1.20.11-1

I don’t have a deeper knowledge of how clipboard works on ArchLinux, but I think I am using it in the default setting. I tried switching on/off xfce4-clipman, but it doesn’t affect the issue.
Browser extensions also don’t seem to play a role.
Firefox opens the same type of dialog but doesn’t freeze.
