Connected rewards country wrongfully by accident

Briefly describe your issue:

A while ago I just automatically clicked “Continue” on this checkbox while I didn’t really understand how it would influence my rewards.

Now that I can verify my rewards profile its showing this error message:

I’m wondering if there is a way to reset this country setting so I can verify my rewards profile. I’m currently living in Peru which recently became a valid country for rewards.

What Operating System and Brave version are you using (Menu --> About Brave)?

I use windows 10 and I use version 1.47.171 for Brave

Is your Brave Rewards Profile currently verified? (yes/no)

I have a verified Uphold account, but am currently not verified for brave rewards.

What date did you connect a your Brave Rewards Profile?

I had verified status for Brave Rewards up until they restricted it for my country (Peru) and since then have not been verified.

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past?

I have received multiple payments before the ban on my country.

Are you using a VPN? (yes/no)

No, I don’t use a VPN

Are you in a supported region (see here for list of supported regions)?

Yes, Peru is currently a supported region.

Does your device pass the SafteyNet check (Android only)?

Yes, it does.

Have you manually turned off Auto-contribute on all of your devices?

Yes, I have.

Hi @Pacha thanks for sharing the above.

In order to re-declare your country, you will need to reset your Brave Rewards Profile.
(Please note that this may result in the lost of BAT that is being earned)
From there you can select the correct country declaration that matches the country you have verified your custodial account.

Do tag me if you have any further questions or concerns.

I currently have 5.5 BAT and I’d wish to not lose that ammount, is there any way I can re-declare my country without reseting Brave Rewards?

Sending a DM to you now
