Cannot get past "Confirm you are a human being". Drag and Drop creates PNG file on desktop

Briefly describe your issue:
When I drag the triangle to the appropriate area, a copy of the BAT icon is created on the desktop. Yes that’s right. Nothing happens after that.

What Operating System and Brave version are you using ( Menu --> About Brave )?
Linux Mint 20.3. Brave Browser V1.34.80 (Jan 6, 2022)

There is one copy of the PNG for each attempt to drag and drop.

More info. Drag and drop is not working anywhere in the browser. Dragging from 1 browser window to another browser window drops the item on the desktop and not in the second window.
