Cannot connect Verified Uphold account

Briefly describe your issue:
Brave doesn’t let me link my Uphold account anymore. The Uphold account is verified. I can top up and withdraw with it, but in Brave I cannot select Uphold to link with it.
I checked that I’m in France and it’s compatible but it says “Currently not compatible in your region.” (see image).

No. It was but I did nothing and it’s not anymore.

What date did you verify your wallet?
“Verified on 11/08/2022”

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past?
Yes

From France, yes.

Are you on the list of supported regions when verifying Brave Rewards with a custodial partner (see here for list of supported regions)?
From France, yes.

Does your device pass the SafteyNet check (Android only)?
Not Android.

Have you manually turned off Auto-contribute on all of your devices linked to a custodial partner?
Yes

  • So when Brave asked you to choose your country, you chose France?

  • If you go to brave://rewards-internals does it show you in France for Rewards country?

  • Are you actually from France? (a different way of phrasing: is your device Locale marked for France?). I’m asking this as I know sometimes people travel. Part of me wondering if this might be some conflict.

In regards to this, I’m kind of curious. If you Create a new profile in the browser, will this issue replicate there? (Asking you to hit three dots referred to as hamburger menu, create a new profile, activate rewards, choose France for country, then see if it shows Uphold grayed out there as well)

Yes Uphold becomes selectable but only for the new profile

I often use VPNs for work

I restarted my computer with no VPN at all and it worked
