Can I import settings, cookies and so forth from Brave Beta to Brave official?

Hi.

Didn’t know where else to post this, but here it goes: I’m using Brave Beta for the most part, but occasionally I need to use the official release. This mean I have to open the Brave official version, log into sites, and so forth. It would be great if I could simply import everything from the Brave Beta installation, so that I could more or less pick up where I left off from the Beta version.

Is this possible? I see different browsers listed under “Import bookmarks and settings”, and even an “Brave (old)”, but non of which appears to be the Brave Beta version.

Hi @proton,

I’m just replied to other user question. Import bookmarks.

Edit: Oops, that’s exactly what you find in the issue.

Which operating system do you use?

If you use Windows you can copy the

%LOCALAPPDATA%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser-Beta\User Data\Default\

folder and replace the “Default” folder in

%LOCALAPPDATA%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\

In Mac OS the brave folders should be located at
Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/
And in Linux at
/home/<username>/.config/
(but I’m not too sure about that)

Thanks, I’ll give it a try.
