Bug Report - Laptop Built-in Microphone detected but doesn't pick up sound on desktop Brave (Win10)

**My Brave browser is detecting the laptop built-in microphone, i.e. allowing it on sites, but it doesn’t detect sound. You can try it on any online voice recording site to see if it works for you. I’ve tried the same sites on Microsoft Edge and the microphone picks up the sound on those. Operating system is Win10 with latest updates and Brave latest version

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Ensure your laptop built-in microphone is working and allowed for the website.
  2. Try to record sound on any online site. (e.g.https://online-voice-recorder.com/) or any web-based communication or conferencing app.
  3. Cross-check by using the same site on another browser like Microsoft Edge.

Expected result:
I should be able to use the laptop inbuilt microphone (i.e. record, be heard by others on calls etc.)

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.29.76 Chromium: 93.0.4577.58 (Official Build) (64-bit)
**

Additional Information:
Using Windows 10.0.19042.
Issue first noticed after last night’s Brave update.
Built-in Mic works fine otherwise (outside Brave).
Works fine with my BT 5.0 mic on headset. However, on some sites the BT 5.0 mic works but the headphones don’t. That’s persisted through many releases. Perhaps that’s a separate issue to report.
