Description of the issue:
The browser redirects on router login, avoiding authentication.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Type router IP in address bar. For example, 192.168.1.1 page completely skips authentication and redirects to login failed page. A 401 unauthorized page displays briefly and redirects to Router Password Recovery page.
Actual Result
Expected result:
To login as per usual
Reproduces how often:
Since latest Brave Browser update, I tried to replicate the issue on prior release and incident did not occur.
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave
page in the main menu):
Windows 10 x64 desktop latest public build. Version 0.68.138 Chromium: 77.0.3865.75 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
The latest patch for Brave Browser created this issue. The only known work around I’ve found is installer the TrueKey extension by McAfee and spamming the Enter key when logging in. In recent threads there have been reports of Auth login redirect issues with various websites, this leads me to believe this is widespread and not isolated. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
