Error when starting the browser on Kubunt 23.10.
Open the terminal and enter the following command:
brave-browser
The following message appears:
26189:26189:1226/115004.128832:ERROR:process_singleton_posix.cc(335)] Failed to create /home/myuser/.config/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/SingletonLock: The file already exists (17)
Temporary solution that works for me:
Change to the directory /home/myuser/.config/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser, then delete the file SingletonLock.
The browser can then be started again.
However, the icons in the browser have disappeared.
The problem occurred after the latest version of Brave-Browser was installed.
When I start the browser via the graphical user interface (KDE), nothing happens.
Is there a solution for this?
Every time I start it, I have to switch to the console and delete the file /home/myuser/.config/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/SingletonLock.
Only then can I use the Brave browser.
