Description of the issue: Brave no longer starts on Ubuntu 20.04
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3. Install the current Linux version for Ubuntu from the Brave website. Use it for a week or 2. One day it will not start up.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu): Ubuntu 20.04, Brave Browser 115.1.56.14
Additional Information: Note that last startup message indicates that a breakpoint was encountered in brave. The other messages I don’t have a clue about. This happens with no other apps started on the system. Other apps startup just fine (i.e. Perforce, Wireshark, Eclipse c/c++ IDE, Apache Netbeans, etc).
If you installed this via flatpak, you may want to try to install as explained on the website. At least I had sometimes problems with the flatpak version.
I followed the directions on the Brave website for installing the debian compatible version (i.e. Ubuntu). I just found out that no browser will work, even though they all worked before. The bizarre thing about it is that the internet connection itself is fine, all other apps that use the internet are fine, and you can connect to http and https sites manually, just not on the browsers. The machine is running a website itself and that works fine also. Knowing that it’s a browser agnostic issue, I thought there were be an explanation somewhere in net searches, but have not found any.
