I have installed the latest Brave-Version from the Microsoft Store.
I know there are many similar topics, but i think, mine is different, because i installed brave from the MS Store…
Description of the issue:
After starting the browser, i see a white window and it disapears immediatley.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Installing the browser via MS Store
Start the browser
Expected result:
Browser should start
Brave Version (check About Brave): About Brave can’t be reached, because the Browser doesn’t start.
In %localappdata%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\ is a folder named 120.1.61.109. So i think this should be the version…
Additional Information:
Windows 11 on december 23 patch-level
I don’t have any admin-rights to install or start the browser
the browser has never been run on this machine, so no addons are installed
I installed WinDbg to read the dmp-File.
ExceptionAddress is chrome!GetHandleVerifier
ExceptionCode is c0000005 (Access violation)
The ERROR_CODE indicates the memory

I’m curious to know if there’s a particular reason you have to install it via the MS store? Wondering if you get the same behavior if you try installing normally by via the official website?
