Bring back the menu bar for Windows version

Please bring back the menu bar option for the Windows version of Brave. I find navigation much easier with menu bar at the top. Also, I use a Macbook at work and Brave and all browsers still have the menu bar option for those that want it.

Why can’t this feature be in all versions? Why can’t you just have this small toggle in the Windows version just like it is in the Mac version? I’ve tried that proper menubar extenstion but it just puts the menu bar into the web page rather than at the top.

Please, just give Windows users the same options and choices that you give Mac users. I don’t understand why developers are refusing and ignoring the requests for it. It seems like such a small thing to put back.

Is this being forced on Chromium based browsers by MS because of Edge being is also Chromium based?

Please bring back the menu bar option for the Windows version of Brave. I don’t see why it was removed.

But. Just like Opera you have decided to control how users can use your browser. With no consideration for the ease of use for most of us.

So, just like others. I will not be using Brave. And will return to FireFox and Edge.

Is the menu really unavailable in Windows? There must be good reason, can you say what it is?

I just posted a browser support question on this topic. It never occurred to me the menu is gone. I figured I just need to change a setting.

c.f., feature request Bring back the menu bar for Windows version

+1.
I just posted a new thread because I hadn’t seen this :-/

Incomprehensible UI design, like how Windows got rid of the Recent Documents menu (that choice costs me about 5 minutes a day on Windows 11 on my work computer).

We want the option to have/see the menu bar. Please and thank you.

J-H, I would like to award you Medal of Truth the connection you spelled out between the sacrificed Windows Menu and other damage to the world’s most important software produced deliberately by Microsoft. Dropping the Windows menu is only stupid, providing nothing more valuable than value an adult receives cleaning the interior of a neglected diaper on an illegal child immigrant who was accompanied by strangers falsely claiming to be the child’s family, and who is incapacitated by incurable, brain-destroying disease. Put people supporting the 2 million illegal, brain-damaged US immigrants every year in charge of supporting Windows, and whammo, no more windows menu or has been in this world long enough, and its founder has been prominent enough, for long enough.

Considering their impact on humanity and their founder’s public statements, we have a right to write candidly about that domain and the impact they have on world.

Microsoft has been a combination and brilliant, stupid, and demonic from its beginning. The period where they destroyed Windows, but kept the name “Windows” on their Flagship product, Windows 8, was more damaging to the human race than Covid-19 was. We still live in terror when we write truth about Covid-19, which hurt almost no one, but served as pretext for the murder of at least 17 million humans, who where killed by the fake treatments, while being denied access to well-known treatments as part of giving the pharma fortunes in ill-gotten gains

A more recent example. If you have a moment, any thoughts you share about the following image would mean a lot to me:

I’m a new Brave user, just dumped Firefox. Not quite sure why the top configurable menu line I love in FF isn’t available, it’s not a Windows thing because it’s working fine in FF. So, what’s the Brave rationale? I find the default ‘show all the bookmarks in a mess on a line’ useless, I want a ‘bookmark’ one-click and get a popup list, like I had in FF. Maybe I just haven’t figured out how to do this in Brave, yet.

Firefox has the same thing, toggled with Ctrl+B on both browsers.

You can access bookmarks on Brave via that menu, from the Bookmark Manager (Ctrl+Shift+O), from the hamburger menu, or by typing in the address bar.
