This issue has started within the last 2 weeks.
I’m running Brave v1.73.104 on a Windows 11 laptop with 16GB ram with plenty or CPU and memory spare. Temperatures are all normal.
When Brave is running my laptop “glitches” for a split second every 20-60 seconds. It makes a noise like a quiet cricket doing one cycle of it’s legs while the cursor shows background activity (smaller arrowhead and circle). Not only is this distracting but it also takes me away from my focus e.g. if I’m renaming a file the filename is deleted and when I continue typing only the text after the glitch remains. In MS Word the border of the window I am typing in flashes black and my cursor sometimes moves.
I’ve removed my wireless mouse & keyboard and the issue presists.
I’ve removed the mains power supply and the issue persists.
I’ve checked all drivers and software are up-to-date.
I’ve reset the graphics driver and the issue persists.
I’ve reset Brave and the issue persists.
It seems to happen more often when I move to a different tab but occurs randomly even when I’m not browsing.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
