BRAVE VPN Macbook to iOS

Please provide us with the following information


Type of device (Macbook pro to iphone 12):

iOS version ( Sonoma 14.5 to iOS 17.4.1 ):

I’ve purchased the VPN on my brave browser in my Macbook, but I’m wondering if there is a way to login to brave on my iPhone, or use a redeem code so that I can use the same plan to cover my iPhone.

It says in the FAQ that one plan can cover up to 5 devices.

I have an existing iOS VPN subscription, purchased at iOS App Store.

I want to enable Brave VPN on a new Mac.

Here’s what I get when I try to link the iOS subscription to my Brave Account per instructions. Suggestions? Thanks!

Hey @Chuck1999. Is the screenshot you’re sharing from your Mac? If so, that’s your problem. If you bought it on your iOS then you have to link it from your iOS. The notice you are sharing is indicating you’re not using the device you purchased the subscription on.

So if you follow the instructions on the help article linked before, you’re going to go into your iOS and them choose to link the purchase to the Brave account. Purchases on iOS are done through Apple App Store. When you choose to link it to the Brave account, it should open up to https://account.brave.com/ and then will ask you to sign in. Once you do that, you should have it all kind of register.

After that is when you would go to https://account.brave.com/ on your Mac and would Refresh Brave VPN in the subscriptions area.

I tried again just now, same result as shown in image above.

I reviewed my iOS App Store yearly VPN purchase. All clean on the Apple side.

Can the account.brave.com information get corrupted? Delete that ‘profile’ and start fresh? Since I purchased via iOS App Store I don’t have a need for a Brave account anyway, except for this purpose - enabling VPN on a different device…

@Chuck1999 Please open a request directly with us so we can assist you better. You can do this on your iPhone from the Brave browser: Settings > Brave Firewall + VPN > Contact Technical Support.

The issue seems to be with Brave Premium Account - which I don’t have due to iOS App Store purchase, not VPN / Guardian.

@Chuck1999 Brave VPN is done through Guardian. So if you submit info, they can sometimes help. But if you are unable or feel uncomfortable doing it as Lou-ee mentioned, you can also create a Premium Support Ticket at https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360003078831
and then the issue can be relayed to appropriate people who can provide further assistance.

Regardless, you’ll need to do something of a ticket and reach out to support through one of the methods so they can get more details from you and help. They don’t tend to go deep on account specific stuff here on the forums.
