Brave showing "Region not supported" in supported region (Trinidad & Tobago)

Briefly describe your issue:

I’m receiving a “Region not supported” error when trying to log in to Brave Rewards with my Uphold account.

I’m from Trinidad & Tobago, a region where Brave Ads are shown and a supported jurisdiction by Uphold, where I have passed my KYC requirements.

I have used my Uphold account with Brave for the past 3 months now and have had no issues, until now.

What Operating System and Brave version are you using (Menu --> About Brave)?

macOS 13.0 -
Version 1.43.93 Chromium: 105.0.5195.127 (Official Build) (arm64)

Is your browser wallet currently verified? (yes/no)

(because for some reason it disconnected my Uphold account from itself today)

What date did you verify your wallet?

June 18th, 2022

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past?


Are you using a VPN? (yes/no)


Are you in a supported region (see here for list of supported regions)?


Have you fully completed Uphold’s CDD requirements?

Please note that this list can, and does, change over time. If your region is currently not supported for connecting to Brave Rewards, it may become supported in the future.

Why I cant connect my uphold account it said unsupported country

Currently having the exact same problem here in Portugal. How did you fix it?
