Brave Rewards not earning BAT since re-linking Uphold account

Briefly describe your issue:

I had to relink my Uphold account to Brave Rewards on my laptop a couple of weeks ago and have not been seeing ads/earning BAT since. I was having trouble linking Uphold until I figured out it was because I had my VPN enabled - disabling it, the link went through smoothly.

What Operating System and Brave version are you using (Menu --> About Brave)?

Mac OS X 11.6 - Version 1.29.81 Chromium: 93.0.4577.82 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Is your browser wallet currently verified? (yes/no)

Yes - verified with Uphold.

What date did you verify your wallet?

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past?

Yes - earning and payments were working fine until these past few weeks.

Are you using a VPN? (yes/no)

Not currently, though I do have one that I turn on occasionally. This past time when I relinked my Uphold account to Brave it did fail a few times because I was using a VPN - disabling it allowed me to link.

Yes

Does your device pass the SafteyNet check (Android only)?

N/A

Have you manually turned off Auto-contribute on all of your devices linked to Uphold??

Yes

Update your brave browser and use
A link to update and Earn BAT by updating brave Browser , earn $5 worth of BAT for using the Browser for 30 days.
And the ads will start showing

Reinstalling the browser did not help. No ads are being shown on my laptop (the problem), but the browser on my desktop has received 228 ads this month and is working.

Any advice in remedying this would be appreciated!
