I have a few questions, please excuse me if this topic is covered somewhere else but I could not find anything about it.
I have my rewards function on but I cannot seem to get any BAT tokens. Even Facebook and YouTube ads do not give any reward. Is there a set of websites where I can watch ads to earn any tokens or is this function not available in the Netherlands?
Now, I am in Dubai. However, the function still doesn’t seem to work.

The only supported countries are the US, UK, Canada, France and Germany at the moment. Australia, New Zeland and Ireland are close to being supported too. So unfortunately you cannot get any ads right now.
Brave Ads also works a little bit different than how you described. You get ads as notifications directly on your device, just like a Battery Low notification would show in the corner of the screen for example. On Android you can even get notifications while the browser is closed.
In the future, Brave will also show ads on websites, but I don’t know anything about that at the top of my head.
That’s what I thought… what if you use a VPN service to get an US or UK IP? Would that work or do I simply have to wait… 
I don’t know exactly how Brave checks your location. It might be a combination of your IP and the region/locale settings of your OS, or something completely different.
So getting a VPN and changing the mentioned settings to the same country might work. I am not sure if this is harming the Brave/BAT ecosystem in any way though. I also don’t know if this is against the “rules”.

I just found this in the User Terms of Service:
Private ads are only available in certain regions, which we may change from time to time. If you’re not in one of these regions, ads will not be available in Brave Rewards for you. You may not make any attempt to view ads not intended for your region.
This sounds like it is not allowed, so it would be better to just wait and enjoy the browser without ads.
