That’s how it works. Brave has never just had it completely filled out just upon visiting the site. The auto fill portion is just that clicking on the username will put in the username and matched password.
That said, I’ll tag @Mattches to see if there’s something more to it I’m not thinking of. Because I get where it’s confusing and a bit frustrating that the toggle for Auto Sign-in doesn’t really do anything.
And when I just started looking through, I see it’s been brought up many times but never did get official responses.
Auto Sign-in of passwords is broken on Release and Nightly channels with Settings>Passwords>Auto Sign-in = Enabled.
Expected result: Sign-in with one click
Actual result: Sign-in as if Auto Sign-in disabled.
Brave v. 1.18.75

DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE:
Recent Brave update has disabled automatic logins.
Whenever a new session has started, I have to manually login on each website, despite cridentials being stored, and ‘Auto Sign-in’ being enabled in settings.
Several sites have began to block me due to repeated logins, including YouTube and my bank.

## Description
The Auto Sign-In setting does not work. No matter how many times I toggle it and restart, fields will not auto-fill username and password. Instead, I have to manually click into a field each time and select a username and password credential pair to fill it out with.
## Steps to Reproduce
1. Install Brave
2. Import settings and passwords from chrome _(to be consistent with what I did originally)_
3. Try to open any site that you have a saved password for
4. Notice that the username and password fields don’t automatically fill in; you have to click on the username box and select your saved username and password in the popup
## Actual result:
With the `Auto Sign-In` setting under `brave://settings/passwords` enabled, no auto sign-in/autofill of fields happens.
## Expected result:
A login page with saved credentials should automatically fill out the username/email and password that was saved.

## Miscellaneous Information:
I’ve tried toggling this setting multiple times to no avail, along with trying it on a myriad of different sites that I have my password saved for. All of my passwords are saved, but the `Auto Sign-In` setting just refuses to work. I haven’t had it work on a single site successfully as of yet.
