Description of the issue:
Brave no longer opens in Windows 10.
My windows 10 upgraded itself yesterday (took a long time including restart) and now Brave does not open.
Downloaded and installed Brave again (BraveBrowserSetup-HOA289) but still does not open.
Google Chrome works fine - which I am using now.
Shortcut target is “C:\Program Files (x86)\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe” --disable-gpu
Tried “C:\Program Files (x86)\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe” but no change.
Checked file location is correct.
Clicked directly on Brave.Exe in file explorer but no change. Did not open.
Windows asks if i want Brave to make changes to my computer and I click YES. but does not open.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
click on Brave shortcut. Hour glass for a second then nothing.
