Description of the issue:
Brave on Winows 10 is incredibly slow, most noticably the scrolling is choppy, sometimes the scroll wheel or trackpad don’t even respond. Turning off hardware acceleration makes this problem worse, however, I have noticed that if the browser isn’t in the foreground everything works fine. What I mean by this is that if i open an app (ex. Task Manager) over Brave, so that Brave isn’t the currently active app, and I try to scroll on Brave, it works perfectly.
Doing a fresh install without any changed settings or installed extensions does not make a difference.
Edge (Chromium) and Chrome do not have this problem.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open Brave
- Use the browser normally to view random websites (it happens on almost every page).
Expected result:
Notice the scrolling not working or Brave stops responding for a short but noticable timeframe (up to 5s)
