Brave has been slow, exclusively when loading new tabs

Description of the issue:
Pretty much only when loading new tabs, especially, but not limited to when launching brave for the first time.

I don’t know what could cause this, YouTube and online games work fine, and the troubles are pretty much only when loading new tabs.

This issue has been going on for a month, most of the time it takes around 20-100 seconds for a page to load, depending on how brave is feeling that morning.

Weirdly enough, if I disconnect from the internet while it’s loading a page, it will not immediately stop buffering, as if it’s temporarily not using the internet.

The issue is also on private tabs.

This has become a significant issue in my workflow and I’ve considered switching browsers.

Reproduces how often:
Pretty consistently.

Operating System and Brave Version:
Windows 10
Version 1.58.137 Chromium: 117.0.5938.153

Does clearing cookie/cache help? Or try Brave in a new profile.

Did not work, I took a day to reply as i was trying out the method, but it seems to have little effect.
