Brave freezes when clicking any button that allows me to open/upload a file from my PC

Description of the issue:
Whenever I try to upload any sort of file by clicking a button, the screen that normally shows up allowing me to open/upload a file from my pc freezes, and is blank white. This problem is not with any other browser and my brave version says that it is up-to-date.
How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Find anything where I can upload files from my computer
2. Click upload/open button
3. Get a blank screen that freezes my entire pc, only able to remove through task manager

Expected result:
The window showing up not freezing my pc and allowing me to upload/open files from my pc

Brave Version( check About Brave): v1.47.171

Additional Information: was working fine 2 hours previously before help ticket, I did not make any changes to hardware or software

Thank you for reaching out and I’m sorry to hear you are going through this. Can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings, to see if this resolves the issue?

You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration.

Additionally, please try In Private mode or Guest Window to see if the issue persist, if that works please try disabling your extensions to see if this is the cause of the issue.

You can open a Guest Window by going to Main menu → Open Guest window:

1. On your computer, open Brave.
2. At the top right, click Menu → More tools → Extensions.
3. On to the extension you want to remove, click Remove.
4. Confirm by clicking Remove.
