Brave Crashes on First Launch

Description of the issue:

I am a new Brave user. I got it on my laptop that I am running Linux on (for fun), and it works great. I was going to switch to it on my main computer, but I cannot. As soon as I attempt to run Brave, it opens for a frame and immediately crashes.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave

Expected result:

Brave opens.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Since I can’t open Brave, I have no way to check ’ About Brave’

Additional Information:

I have tried many troubleshooting steps, including allowing it through Windows firewall and Malwarebytes, running it with --disable-gpu, and trying the Beta version of Brave. I will note that Firefox has the same problem on my computer.

This has been happening on my Mac for the last month or so. Nobody seems to have a good answer. It worked fine until I updated to the latest version. Now I’m having to use Brave Nightly but I’d like the regular browser back because that’s where I have everything stored.
