Brave colors should be able to change with linux system GTK theme

Brave on linux does not have a “System” option under “Brave colors”. It should have the option so that it can follow the active GTK light/dark theme.

This should be rather feasible and not too complicated, do you think this could be added please?

Yes please. This is the most annoying thing of Brave on Linux.

Also coming to this. I know there is a System option in the Brave Colors dropdown on Windows. Is this because Chromium on GTK is messed up or there aren’t enough Linux users to “justify the dev time”

It’s odd because Chromium works properly in Linux (dark or light manually or system following GTK theme), so why doesn’t Brave?

I would love to have this option too.

EDIT: it seems this is reported on Brave’s GitHub issue #14685.

It’s been working for a bit in Beta (v162). Looks like v162 migrates to release channel end of January if you are not using Beta.
